THE GREENLAM GREEN STRATEGY GROUP
It is set-up to keep our impacts positive on the planet. The group’s task is to single-mindedly work towards developing, implementing, and monitoring several green initiatives across our organization.We employ a pressurized hot water process meeting industry standards for water consumption per unit produced. This innovative approach has significantly reduced our groundwater usage, treated high TDS water in STPs and minimized power consumption. By conserving energy typically lost in heating fresh water and maintaining a stable heat gradient, we ensure consistent product quality across our facilities.

Manufactured with Natural Products
Exploring nature’s solutions, we’ve opted for organic alternatives like cashew nut shells over synthetic materials. These shells, a byproduct of cashew processing, offer rich sources of long-chain phenols. By substituting 10% of phenol use, we’ve enhanced resin technology, leading to impactful changes and sustainable practices, such as:
- Enhancing the product flexibility and machinability of compact boards.
- Reducing the emission of VOCs from the process as well as the final product.
- Reducing the handling and storage of hazardous materials in the plant.
- Achieving uncompromised performance.
- Eliminating the need for process washing, enabling zero discharge from the plant.
Zero Liquid Discharge
At Greenlam, we prioritize eco-friendly practices by constantly refining our production of amino and phenolic resins for paper impregnation. Our solvent-free approach minimizes emissions and prevents contamination of water and soil. Through ongoing research, we uphold our commitment to zero effluent discharge and environmental preservation.
Renewable Energy Utilisation
We harness diverse renewable energy sources to safeguard our environment. These resources are not only easier to obtain and more cost-effective but also significantly less detrimental. Through the use of biofuel to offset CO2 emissions and our solar energy plant, we advance towards a cleaner, greener future.

Our products at Greenlam are free from hazardous materials listed in Appendix J, such as asbestos, heavy metals, and urea-formaldehyde. They also comply with regulated levels of NTP, IARC, and OSHA Listed Carcinogens, ensuring safety and health for all users.
